Owned and built by Ireka Corporation, the hotel comprises of 384 rooms and 68 rooms service apartments. Reflecting the Westin chain's brand concept of modern luxury whilst working within a challenging budget formed the brief for this project.
Sitting on a small site means spatial planning is essential to ensure the space is efficiently and proportionally used. Addressing this constraint, focus was drawn to the vertical spaces by creating the illusion of increased volume.
Usage of a light scheme with accents darker tones enhances and enlarges the relatively small spaces. Textural variations of material choices combined with cultural touches give it its contemporary interpretation a twist.
Customised lighting effects added colours and movement into the space.
